Android Q release date
Google has not announced yet when Android Q will come out. But it's still in development in Google HQ . We don't even know that the next version will be call as Android Q or not, given each version's progression to the next letter in the alphabet, Android Q is a pretty safe Guess.
we could see Google officially announce Android Q in early March – and perhaps, like last year's release, see an alpha build released to developers on the same day. The full Android Q name may happen in early August.
Expected features in Android Q
1.Foldable phone support
Just after Samsung announced thats it going to launch all-new foldable device, Galaxy F or Galaxy X, Google has confirmed that Android Q will support Android devices with foldable displays.
The tech giant google has said that the idea of introducing foldable smartphones in the Android market and provide better services to the end users is pretty good.
Going with the same thought, they have introduced various new update in their battery feature for smartphones, where if you turned off your phone's screen,it will automatically get on the battery saving mode. This, will enable an Android users to enjoy good services at lower battery consumptions.
3.Warning against older version of an app
Following the Play Store’s policy update of making ‘Android 8.0’ ready apps, the Android Q will introduce the feature of warning users against older apps. This new Android Q feature will inform the user that they are installing an app based on earlier version of the OS and that it won’t be able to run with the latest features of the smartphone.
2. Multi resume features
The multi-resume feature is an upgraded version of what we know under the name of, “Split Screen” and “Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode”.
This feature will enable the users to use all the split app screens in active mode. In other words, it won’t be like all apps in the background will go inactive/sleep mode while you are interacting with an app.
All the apps will run simultaneously, independent with your interaction with the other opened app screens. This will enable the present generation to enjoy working with multiple apps on their smartphones, i.e. multitasking.
This will be one of the Android 10.0 all new features that are expected to be made compulsory on foldable devices. However, it will also be available on current generation smartphones, signifying more Android customers will love to do multitasking now.
4.Dark mode
We all know about dark mode.Because in some of the google's app already has the feature. This mode will be another exciting addition to the features that we will observe on upcoming Android version. This feature, as confirmed by Google, will cut down the battery consumption on devices with OLED screens and enable the users to enjoy more productive hours on their devices.
5. Better and smarter locks
Our experience with Android 10.0 is going to be enhanced with the new introduce two smart locks. The first type will enable us to increase the unlock time period of our Android device, provided it is already unlocked. And the second type of smart locks will lock the phone when the trusted device is no longer trusted, resulting in boosted privacy and security.
6. Require more permission
Another secure feature is that Android Q will have is overhauled permission set. The new Android OS version will give the users an opportunity to have a comprehensive look at the apps having access to native device features such as location, camera, microphone access, etc. through a search function.
The users will have the power to change the permission setting of each application individually. Additionally, they will be able to customize the settings, signifying they can decide if to provide the access ‘all the time’, ‘for once’ or ‘only when the app is in use’ etc.
7. Seamless notification access
Android Q will also give a smart function to the notification setting. Now, the notifications won’t fade away unless you perform an action on them – even when the device is restarted. In other words, the notifications will remain on the screen till you slide the notification towards the left to open the icons or towards the right to dismiss them.
Besides, a small notification displaying the icon of an app (or more) accessing your location or any other native device feature will also be founded in the upcoming Android version.
That's not all the features is described, some more fantastic feature will be introduced with its new OS by google under the hood,to provide the end user a better experience.
