Dholera,the smart city in India

What is your definition of an ideal city? Is this the one with 24x7 water, electricity and Wi-Fi, or has a central control system? Is this a city where traffic is as smooth as butter or a city that is enough to meet all its needs? Well! Now this is not just an imagination, but it is already on paper, as is the master plan of Smart City Dholara. With the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), one of the first smart cities in India is going to be located away from the scattered crowd. In addition to the state-of-the-art infrastructure of its state, this future city will be characterized by a technology-based citizen framework.

It is expected to be developed in six phases and it is likely to be completed by the end of this decade. Vision- India's urban population will experience 28% to 36% increase by 2026 and according to the report, New cities will be required. One of the many smart city projects proposed to meet this purpose is Dholera. DMIC will link the political capital of the country (Delhi) to its financial capital (Mumbai) and Dholara can be called the "Influence Area" of this corridor. This modern city, located 100 km from Ahmedabad, will provide enough employment opportunities, as well as high-tech housing.

Issue - The decision to make Dholara a smart city from a deserted village was taken in 2013. To support the project and to prevent protests, the state took the support of the Special Investment Region (SIR) Act, 2009. But the opposition found it to be a clever way to bypass the issue of land acquisition because it has given way for the consent and compensation binding requirements. A silent protest called the ground officer, "Hindustan Gujarat" (JAAG), was called for its concerns. At present, the Dholera project is on its track, but land acquisition is still an issue for this smart city. Development - Spread over 9 0 sq. Km, the development plan for Dholara has been done in six different steps.

The next phase (150 sq km) is likely to be started next year. 540 sq. Km for the development of state-of-the-art homes, office space and township. But before the work begins, the trunk infrastructure for DMIC will be made by the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC). Globally renowned company Cisco has taken up the task of integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with citizen infrastructure.

The ICT Master Plan has already been finalized. Location- Dholara is located about 100 km from Ahmedabad and about 130 km from Vadodara. Two important roads of Gujarat, Bhavnagar-Pipali Highway and Gujarat State Highway 20 are very close to the area, if you go to this place, you will be able to speak only a huge lie, but in the next 10 years, Will be the eye. With excellent road infrastructure and smooth connectivity options, the city will not be less than the metro.

Facilities- Dholara's technology-based nature makes every job easy for the residents. Monitoring will be done in the area of traffic management, water management, road lighting and road infrastructure. To stay connected with the control system along with everyone in the city, other basic amenities like internet will be provided in the houses. In order to provide easy mobility and transportation, interactive maps will be set up in different areas, social services like grievance redressal and land record management will be made more simplified.

The services in the single window clearance area make it easy to set up. By integrating next generation technologies with slow physical and social infrastructure, Dholara will undoubtedly be one of the most sought after destinations for residential and commercial purposes. Land acquisition is still an issue for this smart city, for which changes in land acquisition law are important. This winter season is important to be a reality, apart from Dholera, plans for smart cities in Khaskhera in Rajasthan, Manesar in Haryana and headquarters in Maharashtra are also going on. It seems that Modi's dream is gradually shaping with these high tech smart cities.
