  Huawei introduced HarmonyOS at its annual developers conference. According to CEO Richard Yu, this new operating system of the company was being worked on since 2017 and the product working on this OS will also be introduced tomorrow under Honor. With the new operating, Huawei aims to provide an open source platform that can be used from smartphones to TVs, laptops and even cars                          HarmonyOS is the company's new OS based on MicroKernel. This means that it will use the least amount of resources, ensuring that the operating speed is fast. OnePlus 12 mobile was launched on 5th December 2023 in China. This phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.82-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440x3168 pixels (QHD+) at a pixel density of 510 pixels per inch (ppi). The display supports Gorilla Glass for protection. OnePlus 12 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It comes with 16GB of RAM. The OnePlus 12 runs Android 14 and is powered by a 5400mAh non-removable battery. The OnePlus 12 supports wireless charging, as well as Super VOOC fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the OnePlus 12 on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel (f/1.6) primary camera; a 64-megapixel (f/2.6, telephoto) camera, and a 48-megapixel (f/2.2, ultra wide-angle) camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

The OnePlus 12 runs ColorOS 14 is based on Android 14 and packs 256GB of inbuilt storage. The OnePlus 12 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The OnePlus 12 measures 164.30 x 75.80 x 9.15mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 220.00 grams. It was launched in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White colour colours. It features an IP65 rating for dust and water protection.

Connectivity options on the OnePlus 12 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.40, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) , and 5G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus 12 supports face unlock.
